UNC chooses dedicated hosting provider Hosted Solutions
Hosted Solutions, a dedicated hosting provider, declared that the University of North Carolina at Charlotte has chosen its services. The company currently operates two data centers in Charlotte, as well as facilities in Raleigh and Cary, North Carolina, and Boston, Massachusetts.
The company expresses that The College of Health and Human Services’ web-based portal will be hosted on its servers. Hosted Solutions will provide bandwidth, managed firewall, collocation, SPLA licensing, OS management, managed backup services out of its SAS 70 Type II certified data center facility.
The portal is a part of the State Center for Health Statistics project, North Carolina Community Health Assessment Initiative. Information about people’s health care needs and strengths will be collected in this portal, enabling professionals to necessary information to build effective programs and policies and follow the results of these observations.
