With the decision by parent company, InterWeb Media Inc., dedicated hosting providers Gogax and Exist Hosting have agreed to a merger. The Company stated that the merger’s goal was to consolidate both companies and re-brand the existhosting.com service on the new gogax.com infrastructure. The company has spent big amount of money and effort for future benefits of the gogax.com infrastructure.
The company started to migrate Exist’s hosting servers and systems into the new Gogax platform and and plans to finish in two months. Gogax maintains the latest hosting technologies, including virtualization, clustered technology, and network attached storage.

British dedicated hosting provider Iomart announced that it will host a seminar at Wembley Stadium on June 25th. The Department for Children, Schools and Families funded the CfBT Education Trust to build and manage an interactive website that aims to support the introduction and roll out of a new secondary school curriculum.
Oculus states that using this web site, a large number of teachers will be able to register, access and download information on the new curriculum that is being released, including video case study downloads of schools that are already executing the new curriculum. Teachers now can also plan their own curriculum requirements online via interactive tools, while providing a library of material to support best practice and links to information and source materials.

Shared hosting provider Sitestar declared that it has acquired customer portfolio and other assets of Internet service provider, AdaNet. AdaNet’s customer bas is not specified.
Sitestar, founded in 1999, provides residential, business and wholesale Internet access, web hosting and value-added products and services. This is Sitestar’s fifth acquisition this year. The company purchased the customer bases of USA Telephone, N2 The Net, Dial Assurance and Comcation. AdaNet offers 56K dial-up modem access and 128K service through Multilink/PPP, email and web hosting solutions. Sitestar states that the AdaNet acquisition helps leveraging recently-acquired wholesale dial-up provider Dial Assurance to deliver service and maximize margins.
