Hosted Solutions, a dedicated hosting provider, declared that the University of North Carolina at Charlotte has chosen its services. The company currently operates two data centers in Charlotte, as well as facilities in Raleigh and Cary, North Carolina, and Boston, Massachusetts.

The Planet, one of the biggest dedicated hosting provider declared that it calls Internet product developer Directi a member of its affiliate program. Directi with more than 7,000 web hosting partners is The Planet’s largest affiliate to day. Directi’s businesses include ResellerClub, LogicBoxes WebHosting.info, and publicdomainregistry.com.
The Planet’s affiliate program, launched this January, gives partners the opportunity to receive a one-time 65% commission for each new dedicated customer referred to The Planet, after that customer’s third month. The company points out that its current commission range is between $44 and $1,700. It adds that the average commission is $139.62 per sale.

Shared hosting provider SoftLayer declared that it has completed the first level of integration between its API and the Plesk utility. This first level of integration allows Plesk users to access all SoftLayer management tools through a single interface.
The company also declared that it has added rackAID (rackAID.com) to its Preferred Partner Program. RackAID provides managed services and support to businesses using SoftLayer infrastructure. This contains of administration and maintenance of computing clusters using the Plesk control panel.

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) designation requirement played an important role on this. Now, all NOC employees of the company are required to have the CCNA.
